What is involved with being on the committee?
The Dawlish Musical Theatre Committee meet once a month to discuss;
- The current show
- Fundraising
- Society business in general
Generally general trustees have less responsibilities than nominated posts however there are always things that jobs that need to be undertake and so there is always a chance to get involved and make a difference.
What is the difference between being a member and being a committee member
- As a member of the society you are able to get involved in the productions that we put on. In addition you are able to attend the AGM once a year and vote on any matters arising.
- As a committee member you have a voice in the day to day running of the society and can get involved in the more important decision, including and not limited to what shows we choose.
How do I become a Committee Member
For Management Posts
- The management of the Company shall be in the hands of the committee consisting of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer and Honorary Production Secretary, all of whom shall be known as the officers of the Company; and up to six elected Members who being full Members shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting.
- The Chairman and other officers shall hold office for one year but shall be eligible for re-election. Other committee members shall be elected annually
