Why Sponsorship is important.
Amateur theatre, as with all theatre, is expensive to produce, with each show costing between ten and fifteen thousand pounds.

We are incredibly fortunate to benefit from a number of talented local people who support us by voluntarily giving up their time to help create and organise our shows. However, additional costs are inevitable to any production. These can include venue hire, script royalties, costume hire, lighting hire, sound hire, printing costs, construction materials and much more. Your sponsorship would go a long way in covering these extra costs, as well allowing us to continue producing the high quality and memorable shows that we have been recognised for locally for over 45 years.

Since theatre performances are very public events, as well as being specifically targeted at Dawlish and the surrounding towns and villages, we can offer you plenty of publicity for you and your company in return. Inspire and reward your clients and employees, whilst directly supporting the theatre, allowing us to Continue to entertain audiences with our diverse programme of high quality theatre and help to keep Musical Theatre at the heart of its community, and to keep it strong and robust for the next 200 years!
Monetary Donations
Monetary donations are essential for the survival and growth of small amateur theatre companies. Unlike larger, well-funded organisations, these companies often operate on tight budgets with limited resources. Donations help cover various expenses such as venue rental, production costs, and equipment maintenance, enabling the company to continue producing quality performances. Gift Aid, a UK government scheme, further incentivize donations by allowing registered charities, including many amateur theatre companies, to claim an additional 25p for every £1 donated, at no extra cost to the donor. This means that monetary contributions go even further in supporting the company's activities. With the support of generous donors and Gift Aid, small amateur theatre companies can thrive, enriching their communities with the magic of live performance.
Sponsorship
Sponsorship plays a pivotal role in the success and sustainability of a theatre company. Firstly, it provides crucial financial support necessary for producing high-quality performances. Theatre productions involve various expenses, including venue rental, set design, costumes, lighting, and actor salaries. Sponsorship helps cover these costs, enabling the company to deliver engaging and memorable experiences to audiences.

Moreover, sponsorship enhances the visibility and reputation of the theatre company. By partnering with reputable businesses or organisations, the company gains access to a wider audience and can attract more patrons to its shows. This increased exposure not only benefits the company financially but also fosters community engagement and appreciation for the arts.

Additionally, sponsors often offer valuable resources and expertise that can elevate the quality of productions. Whether through in-kind contributions such as technical equipment or marketing support, sponsors can help enhance the overall production value and reach of the theatre company.

In asking for support, we invite individuals and businesses passionate about the arts to join us in our mission. Your contribution, whether big or small, can make a significant difference in the vitality and vibrancy of our theatre community. Together, let's ensure that the magic of live theatre continues to inspire and enrich our lives for generations to come.
Advertising in the Programme.
Advertising in a theatre programme presents businesses with a unique and advantageous opportunity to reach a captive and engaged audience.

Firstly, theatre programmes are often kept as keepsakes by attendees, providing long-term visibility for advertisers. This means that an advertisement placed in a theatre programme can continue to promote a business long after the performance has ended.

Moreover, theatre audiences tend to be diverse and affluent, representing a desirable demographic for many businesses. By advertising in a theatre programme, businesses can effectively target potential customers who are likely to have disposable income and a propensity for cultural experiences.

Additionally, theatre programmes are typically perused before the show and during intermissions, offering advertisers a prime opportunity to capture the attention of attendees when they are most receptive to messaging. This focused attention increases the likelihood that the advertisement will leave a lasting impression on the audience.

Furthermore, advertising in a theatre programme allows businesses to demonstrate their support for the arts and community engagement, enhancing their brand image and reputation. It showcases a commitment to cultural enrichment and aligns the business with the values of creativity and expression.

In summary, advertising in a theatre programme provides businesses with a cost-effective way to reach a desirable audience, increase brand visibility, and enhance their reputation within the community.
